About Rod Schwartz

Hi, I’m Rod Schwartz – and this is my Palouse photography website.

I caught the shutter bug back in 1977, when I bought my first 35mm SLR, to chronicle the everyday wonders and milestones of family life. I’ve been shooting regularly ever since.

Living in the Palouse has afforded me endless opportunities to explore and capture its unique beauty in photographs. My images have been published in magazines, on calendars, tourism publications, and several websites.

In August 2016, I knocked an item off my photographic bucket list, when I rode shotgun on Ben Barstow’s combine during the wheat harvest. This image (right) of Ben clearing weeds from the header, was awarded top cash prize in the McGregor Company’s contest at the Palouse Empire Fair the following month.

I rarely travel without a camera at hand, knowing that a fleeting opportunity may present itself at any time. I’m pleased to share some of my favorite images with you here at Palouse Pics and at my Viewbug gallery.

See a photograph you’d like for yourself or a gift?  I’m pleased to offer signed art prints in a variety of sizes matted or loose, on canvas or metal, with prices starting at under $10.00 plus shipping. I also offer sets of scenic notecards with matching envelopes. Please use the contact form to let me know what you’d like.  Thanks for looking!
